Regular readers of the Whitby Morrison Newsletter will know just how highly we value the community around us. As with anything in life, it is important to treat others as you’d wish to be treated yourself, and when it comes to the community – it’s important to give something back.
Over the past month, we at Whitby Morrison have helped out at a number of school fairs, educational courses, village fetes and BBQs, family fun days at Crewe Alexandra FC as well as supporting events such as Crewe TrAction in the town.
We’ve raised several thousand pounds for various causes and charities through these efforts – and even more rewarding has been the smiles on the faces of those people we’ve been able to help!
The list of events, schools and people supported so far this year includes;
- Wistaston Church Lane School Transport Day – free ice cream giveaway
- Adelaide School Summer BBQ – free ice cream giveaway
- MMU Artscool – display of vintage vans and free ice cream for all schoolchildren through the week
- Nantwich Town FC I Love MCR fundraiser – raised approaching £500 by giving away free ice cream
- Haslington Primary School Summer Fair – free ice cream giveaway raised nearly £300
- McLellan Charity BBQ Nantwich – free ice cream giveaway
- Warmingham Wakes – free ice cream giveaway raised over £300
- Worleston Fete – free ice cream giveaway to raise money for the Church
- Crewe Pavement Art Festival – key sponsor
- Haslington Preschool end of year – free ice cream giveaway to all pupils and staff
- Haslington Primary School end of year – free ice cream giveaway to all pupils and staff
- Enzo Ice Cream Tricycle – lending of ice cream tricycle to support local business ice cream sales initiative
- Crewe Alexandra Football Club family fun day – free ice cream giveaway (over 1200 ice creams in 3 hours!)
- Crewe Alexandra Football Club Christmas Party – free ice cream giveaway
- Sandbach High School – work placement for two Year Ten students
- Nathan Gorman Heavyweight Boxer – key sponsor
- Crewe Alexandra Football Club – sponsorship of the Ice Cream Van Stand within the stadium
- Nantwich Town Football Club – sponsorship of the Ice Cream Van Stand within the stadium
