Ice Cream Expo review

The recent Ice Cream Expo saw the launch of the new Whitby Morrison Mondial Lusso SWB. Held at the Yorkshire Showground, the new model proved to be one of the highlights of the event.

The three-day event brought visitors from all over the UK and Ireland to North Yorkshire. The temporary building within which the event was held proved very suitable for the job with a good layout and natural lighting.

The first day, whilst numbers felt a little quiet, brought huge interest in the new Mondial Lusso with compliments and admiration offered by many. Day two was much busier – it had a real ‘Mobiler’s Day’ feel about it. As with every ice cream occasion it was great to meet up with friendly faces and talk about the forthcoming season. The final day, whilst traditionally quiet, generated similar interest to day one – so for Whitby Morrison, the event was thoroughly worthwhile.

A further highlight saw Fleetwood Mobiler, Maurice Murray, crowned Mobiler of the Year – the award was presented by sponsor Anthony Birch of Slade Edwards.

We look forward to seeing the new exhibition hall in February 2017.
