A Commer-plete heritage restoration

Regular visitors to the Whitby Morrison website will be familiar with the regular restoration work undertaken on Heritage Ice Cream Vans - carried out by our highly skilled staff.  Each presents it's own challenges but equally in the end produces a beautiful result.

The Commer is a vehicle synonymous with Ice Cream Mobiling when it was at it's peak in the 1960s.  Despite having restored in excess approaching 100 Heritage Ice Cream Vans, Whitby Morrison have never before worked with a Commer.

The vehicle arrived with us having already been restored externally - including an excelllent paint job.  The expertise of the Whitby Morrison staff were used to fully kit out the van with a freezer, chiller and soft ice cream machine powered by the latest Electric Motor Drive.  The interior was finished with a blue gingham formica typical of that era.

The van has now been put to work at a prestigious shopping centre in it's home city.
